Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make. For those of you who are experienced home buyers, the market is constantly changing and there are always new things you need to learn. For those of you who are first time home buyers, you are entering new territory.

A licensed realtor is the best way to make sure you are doing everything right. My services to you, as your buyers agent, are as follows:


You know your price range, you have an idea of your ideal features and amenities and you have a location in mind for your future home. I will help you narrow those options down and show you full access to ALL homes, even those homes that are not yet on the MLS, through our professional Illinois real estate affiliations.


Searching the MLS only takes you so far. You need to visit the home and you need a discerning eye that can tell you what to be aware of. I will show you every property that fits your criteria, we will discuss its features, dissect its positives and negatives and become acquainted with the area.



You need honest answers from an experienced member of the community that you could be calling home. I know Chicago and I know Evanston. After living in the Evanston Community for 30 years, teaching in its schools and raising a family here, I have extensive knowledge of the community. I will serve as your best resource to everything you need to know about the area.


You have no idea what to expect from such a volatile housing market. I find out when homes sell and what they sell for. I know what you should and shouldn't expect from your price range. Through this knowledge, I will make sure that you are getting the best value possible.


Negotiations can be stressful. I will help you structure making an offer, prepare the contract for purchase under your direction and negotiate on your behalf to ensure the best possible results.


There are a lot of papers to sign and a lot of unfamiliar terms. I will provide you with a glossary of buyers terms and explain every paragraph until I am confident you understand your contract. If needed, I can refer you to a real estate attorney to work with you during this process.


There are a lot of extra buyer expenses that you may not be aware of. I will make you fully aware of all inspections available, all material affects to your potential property and your financing options. You will be supplied with everything you need to know about securing title services, insurance and other services required to close the transaction.
